The development of the mining sector of the "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" project is in safe hands

On the1st of February, 2012, Velikiy Sergey Stanislavovich, begun his duties as a newly appointed Deputy General Director of OJSC "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar Corporation",

He will be in charge of all the issues related to the corporations` policy-making in the field of geology and mining industries. The list of responsibilities of the new deputy include: the responsibility to determine the direction of the companies` activities in the development of mineral deposits in the regions of the Urals Federal District, the development of innovations in the field of geology and mining industries, and, last but not least, the attraction of investments, including a development and implementation of a mechanism of their involvement and use in the Urals Federal District.

It is necessary to note that, Sergei Stanislavovich has a very impressive operational experience in the area he will lead at the Corporation. He has 34 years of experience in the oil industry.

He graduated from Tyumen State Oil and Gas University, specializing in "Development and operation of oil and gas fields."

After his graduation his career developed in following stages:

From 1976 to 1977 Sergey Velikiy worked at the construction and assembly trust "Niznevartovskneftegazstroy" on the development and equipping of the new oil fields in the Nizhnevartovsk district of Tyumen area. From 1978 to 1999 he had a leading position in the production association "Nizhnevartovskneftegaz" managing the production and services for the development and operation of the Samotlor deposit.

In 1996 he created LLC "Kolek-Eganneft" – an enterprise for developing the Kolek - Yoganskoe deposit with the hard stocks in the Nizhnevartovsk region of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Ugra.

Sergey Velikiy also continued upgrading his qualifications. Whilst doing his work he studied at the Federal Service for business insolvency and financial recovery, received a qualification of "expert on crisis management"; he also received an additional education at the School of Financial Management of the Academy of National Economy under the President of the Russian Federation.

For his contribution to the development of the petroleum, petrochemical and gas industries, for rationality and inventiveness, Sergey Velikiy was repeatedly awarded with high honors, these include: the title of "Honorary Oilman", "Honored Worker of the Ministry of Energy," "Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry of the Russian Federation", " Honored Worker of oil and gas industry of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Ugra ".

Currently Sergey Velikiy is a director and a chairman of the board of directors of enterprises for the development of mining fields with hard stocks in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and other territories of the Russian Federation.
