The preparations for the construction of the thermal power plant "Polarnaya" are continuing.

The OJSC "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar Corporation" continues the construction of the thermal power plant in the far north of the Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous District. At present, the approval procedures on the objects` location are completed. Inter-regional management of the Federal Air Transport Agency has concluded that the TPP "Polarnaya" which is located near the airport of the city of Salekhard does not oppose any safety regulations, and will not affect the air traffic in the area.

Specialists from the OJSC " Ural Industrial - Ural Polar Corporation" and LLC "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar № 7" together with the specialists from LLC "Teploelectroproject - Union" have already started organizing construction works and are in the process of selecting a contractor for the engineering survey and design of the pipeline. Already developed are the external power supply network scheme, the water supply and sanitation scheme, as well as the scheme of thermal power generation for the "TPP" Polarnaya".
