The "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" comprehensive investment project is an important part of the Czech-Russian economic cooperation

A meeting was held today between the Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Ural Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko and a delegation of the Czech Republic headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Kocourek.

The meeting was attended by - on the Czech side: the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic Petr Kolar RF, the Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Milan Urban, the General Consul of the Czech Republic in Ekaterinburg, Miroslav Ramesh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Milan Hovorka; Head of the CIS department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jiri Mashat, Head of the Department of combined transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Novak, Chairman of the Board of "ALTA" Vladimir Plashil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "OHLZS" Michal Stefl.

On the Russian side: the Assistant of Presidential Plenipotentiary Sergei Ustyantsev, the Deputy General -Director of the "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar Corporation" Vylitok Alexander, the third secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RF, in Yekaterinburg, Alexei Chesnokov.

During the meeting, the Presidential Plenipotentiary of RF in the Ural Federal District N. Vinnichenko and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Martin Kocourek exchanged their views on the cooperation with the Ural Federal District, commending on the efforts of both sides, including the presence of the General Consul of the Czech Republic in Yekaterinburg.

The Presidential Plenipotentiary of RF in the Ural Federal District mentioned in his speech, the main projects of cooperation between the companies of the UFD and the Czech companies. Among them the modernization of industrial resources at "Uralvagonzavod", participation in the construction of facilities for the production of methanol, the investment of capital of UMMC in the Czech enterprises, the modernization of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, the construction of combined cycle power plant in the Kurgan region.

The "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar"complex investment project, has been emphasized as a project of federal significance, and the participation of the Czech company OHL ZS, as well as the support for the project from the Czech business community were especially mentioned.
In return, Mr Kocourek highlighted the importants of these projects in the further dynamic and confident development of mutually beneficial relations.

In conclusion, Mr. Vinnichenko and Mr. Kocourek expressed their confidence in continuing cooperation.
