On the 12th of January OJSC "Corporation Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" received endorsement of the project of construction of the "Polyarnaya" power station in Salekhard, Yamal-Nenets autonomous region.

As was informed by First Deputy General Director of the Corporation Rashid Saitov, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region's Administration has endorsed a feasibility study of the project of construction of the 1st stage of the steam-gas power station "Polyarnaya" in Salekhard with electric capacity of 268 MW. The developer of the feasibility study is OJSC "ESK Soyuz".

Previously, on December 28, 2010, OJSC OJSC "Tyumenenergo" endorsed an out-of-stage work "Scheme of capacity output of the "Polyarnaya power station to the grids of the Tyumen energy system", developed by CJSC "Proektno-ingenerniy centr UralTEP".

A Memorandum on cooperation during implementation of the "Polyarnaya" station construction project undergoes the signing procedure between the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region's Government and OJSC "Corporation Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" at the moment. Decision on working out and signing the Memorandum was made at the work meeting at Plenipotentiary's of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District N.A. Vinnichenko during the discussion of the question "On the prospects of construction of the "Polyarnaya" power station".

The second document - "Procedure of cooperation between the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region, OJSC "Corporation Ural Industrial - Ural Polar", federal authorities and power energy subjects during construction of the "Polyarnaya" power station" - undergoes signing, too. Decision on its development was made at the meeting presided by First Deputy Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region E.V. Miskevich, dedicated to the "Process of implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on development of the electric energy sector of the "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" project on the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region of November 29, 2008" that took place on August 10, 2010 in Salekhard.

Endorsement of the "Polyarnaya" power station's feasibility study is a key event in implementation of the projects for construction of a new power-generating object in the Polar Urals.
