The project of construction of the strategic railway main Northern latitudinal way moves to a very new stage of its development.
A regular session of the work group on the issues of further implementation of the "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" project within the frameworks of the RF President's order took part on January 21, 2011 at the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation and was presided by the Ministry of transport Deputy Director of Development programs department G.V. Petrushenko.
Representatives of management of all the interested parties - RF Ministry of transport, Federal Agency of railway transport, YNAR Administration, OJSC "Corporation Ural Industrial - Ural Polar", JSC "RZD", JSC "Gazprom", JSC "Yamal railway company", JSC "Lengiprotrans", LLC "UralStroiTechnologii", LLC "Engineering center "Yamal", PriceWaterhouseCoopers Russia B.V., Vegas-Lex - took part in the meeting.
In his open speech Georgi Petrushenko noted special importance and large scope of work that had already been done, defined basic issues that require a coordinated decision within the frameworks of the current meeting.
G.Petrushenko put a special stress to the fact that currently the project is a priority one, it was approved and passed all the necessary endorsement stages at the very highest level. Its importance was confirmed by a number of protocol meetings by First Vice-Premier Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov, Minister of transport Igor LEvitin and Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the Urals Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko, Deputy Minister of transport Andrei Nedosekov.
Deputy General director of the "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" Corporation Alexander Vylitok reported on the first results of work. He informed in details on the current situation in implementation of the strategic project, defined the development stages of all its directions, called the meeting participants' attention to the absolute necessity of a joint, well-grounded, quality, and what is most important - operative approach to solution of the problematic issues.
In pursuance of the tasks that were set by the country leaders, within the framework of the meeting special attention was paid to solution of the financing issues of the comprehensive investment project "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" implementation, formation of a special tariff for cargo transportation; as well as to the terms of further maintenance of the infrastructure, being developed during the project implementation, by the participants of the construction.
