The Otorinsky coal cluster

The creation of a high tech complex of:

  • Brown coal mining;
  • Deep processing of brown coal (gasification and syngas production);
  • Electricity production on the base of the Severo-Sosvinskaya (SRPP) State Regional Power Plant 1200 MW;
  • Production of gaseous, liquid and solid chemicals from syngas (coal chemistry).

The objectives of the project:
1. The introduction of innovative technical solutions and advanced environmentally friendly technologies of deep processing of coal;
2. The diversification of raw materials of the energy sector and the growth of the energy efficiency of the Ural Federal District;
3. The improvement of the energy security system and an increase of the energy supply of the region;
4. The creation of more than 3 thousand new jobs, the increase of tax revenues to the budgets of all levels.
